Sneak Peeks of my Back To School Minis this weekend. If you’re shooting with me this weekend, please ignore the wrinkles in the green backdrop. It will be smooth at your session, I promise! LOL
From September-November I shot well over 30,000 images and spent hundreds of hours editing. I wouldn’t have been able to make them or edit them all without the help of my husband to help make the sets, my mom to watch E so I can edit, and definitely not without my assistant Kerri to help me sort through them. Now it’s time for my month long VACATION! But first, just one of my favorite shots from a small wedding I did in early November. I think this should be called the Hugging Tree.
Here are just some basic samples of my Winter Minis sets. There will be more stuff added, just wanted to get color scheme and basic ideas out to those who are shooting with me!
Photography life can be a little frustrating at times. I planned this shoot over a year ago to document my son’s 6th year because he loves trains and he loves to dress up “like a business man” almost every day. Because of that, it was really important to me to get this done. I had the worst time finding a briefcase but thanks to his kindergarten teacher we finally got one and we were able to go. When we got there it was HOT, there was no parking and of course, of all times, Union Station was under construction. I was starting to think this shoot was not meant to happen. It was hot work, but my little model and I made it happen. I told him we were going to go to the train station to hang out and have some lunch. The rest is all this boy who was pretending that he was reading a paper waiting for his train, looking for his next train, running to catch his train, coming back from work and overall, enjoying exploring the train station. I just sat back with my camera as his imagination unfolded at Union Station, and it was awesome. I love this boy so much!
